Demand based learning
Do you prefer knowing what is expected of you and what the frameworks are but do you also want to take your own approach? Do you prefer to search for information on your own and do you learn best by doing?
With demand-based learning, you are free to decide how you will approach the semester.
This will correspond with what you already know. You can also determine your own pace.
The learning outcomes have already been set and these form the basic starting points of this teaching method. On your own, you search for knowledge and the skills you need (together with other students in your group) in order to be able to solve important real-world issues. Teaching materials are offered in an online learning environment but you can also consult your own sources. This is actually preferred! The instructor will help you with any questions you may have and provide feedback frequently. If necessary, workshops and instructions can be arranged.

I really like infrastructure! Next semester, I want to learn more about complex infrastructures in which you can also deliver good performance with many users on various devices. I am really happy that this is possible with the demand-based teaching method. It allows me to choose how I approach the work myself, as long as I am able display the learning outcome at the end. It gives me lots of flexibility. This way, I don’t have to repeat anything I already know, but I can immediately start at my level and make the coolest things.

I often collaborate or work in groups. You usually learn more by working together because you also learn from each other. With the demand-based teaching method, you are stimulated to search for information yourself and find creative solutions on your own. The inspiring sources that the school provides help me in this process. Thanks to the instructors’ feedback over the course of the semester, I know I am heading in the right direction. This helps; it gives me assurance and at the same time, plenty of room to do things my way.
